We are always looking for new and exciting products to add to our care parcels. The basics will always be there, but a few select items will set your parcel apart from the rest.

About Us

When I was little, my gran used to send us parcels every second month or so.  Couriers and overnight deliveries were unheard of in those days and the only way to send a parcel, was via the Post Office. Once we knew a parcel was on its way, we would wait for the postman to deliver the cardboard slip, which meant the parcel had arrived at the Post Office. Then the nagging would start, we would beg my mom to go to the Post Office because we knew there would be treats and gifts for all of us. There were always home baked goodies – rusks, biscuits and other treats.  The highlight was to see what she had sent each child – a handknitted jersey, a doll, matchbox cars…

Fast forward to my children growing up and me spoiling them during exam times. I would write corny notes and attach novelty stationery, prepare sticks with motivational quotes and add chocolates or sweets and I would always include a Bible verse or two in their “exam care packages”.

I was really touched when the children left home for varsity and I found all the notes I had given to them over the years, in drawers and cupboards. It meant a lot to me to realize that they treasured the silly rhymes and quotes – enough for them to not throw it away.

Mamma Pakkie was born because I know life can get busy and run away from us. Not everybody has the opportunity or time to put together an individualized / personalized care package for the students in their lives. I truly hope that you would trust me enough to make up a package for someone you want to encourage, motivate and remind them of their worth in life.
