These teas are made with Honeybush – a tea closely related to rooibos tea, and also found only in select areas in South Africa. Honeybush tea is a a little bit sweeter than rooibos and named after the smell of honey the flowers have. What makes Honeybush stand out among other teas is that it does not turn bitter like other teas when left to simmer for a long time (it also leaves a pleasant fragrance in the kitchen).
